At all resolutions you can see digital noise creating faint moire patterns on solid tones. There's no way to clean the sensor so dust will leave streaks in your image. Color rendition is pretty bad and requires loads of time to tweak. Basically there's no real way to write the raw sensor data to a file and perform color correcting in another utility.

Although TWAIN compatible, the device doesn't show up in any other graphic or scanning software, so you're stuck with the limitations of the included scanning software. The most annoying thing is the presence of digital artifacts, fine discolored lines in the higher resolution scans. The only thing going for it is that it's light, portable, cheap, and can do a quick, decent quality scan to upl oad to facebook.
